SOS From a Senior Man, Son Died, Daughter-in-law Disabled from Persecution
Mr. Shen Quan is showing documents of his son and daughter-in-law.
Minghui.org published an 80 year-old man’s article that tells a true and shockingly sad story that happened to him.
This Senior man, named Shen Quan, had a son Shen Lizhi who were killed from persecution by Chinese Communist Party (CCP) in 2002 because he practiced Falun Gong. In the same year, his daughter-in-law Luo Fang, Shen Lizhi’s wife was kidnapped and illegally put in prison, also because she was a Falun Gong practitioner. She was sentenced to 12 years. She was 5 months pregnant when she was arrested. And she lost her baby during the 8th month pregnancy when she was in prison. After a year in prison, Luo Fang was paralyzed due to tortures. Her legs are disabled.
The persecuted couples started practiced Falun Gong, a traditional Chinese self-cultivation based on the universal principles of truthfulness, compassion, and tolerance since 1998. However, then- CCP leader Jiang Zemin viewed the practices’s popularity and encouragement of independent thought as a threat to his power. He banned the practice on July 20, 1999, immediately arresting thousands. Since then, hundreds of thousands have been illegally detained, tortured, and sent to slave labor camps or psychiatric hospitals. Many are never head from again.
The senior man is living in the US with his big son. He has been appealing for years to the US government and the public for help to stop the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)’s persecution to Falun Gong practitioners in China.
