I have to admit I took the subway all the way from my hostel to Sinsa station just to visit Dore Dore café for its famous rainbow cake – the most popular item on its menu.
I had a hard time finding the café. Just when I wanted to give up searching for the café, a cute pinkish building caught my attention. The letters ‘Dore Dore’ hanged distinctly at its front façade. “Oh, I have found Dore Dore café!” I thought, and this was a serendipitous encounter!
Other than rainbow cake, Dore Dore café offers a myriad of cakes with adorable designs. It was a delight looking at these charming creations!
Despite the variety of choices, I still opted for its rainbow cake (9,000 Won or SGD $11.05)
The rainbow cake was dyed with the seven colour of the rainbow – red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and violet. The cake looks lovely and resplendent like a rainbow, fresh and bright. Sandwiched with fresh strawberries, it was delectable! I was in seventh heaven!
