Kakao Friends Store, Café & Concept Museum
Kakao Talk is the most popular messenger app in South Korea! Its number of registered users in South Korea even surpassed that of Facebook and Twitter.
I could perceive the Kakao Friends’ popularity when I visited its flagship store in Hongdae. I observed that most of the customers in the store were Koreans, and their faces lit up with impish glee when they saw their favourite KAKAO FRIENDS characters – Ryan, Muzi, Apeach, Frodo, Neo, Tube, Jay-G, and Con.
Next to the store is the Kakao Friends Concept Museum. Visit the museum to learn more about these cute characters!
